Please excuse the dust

I know, I know, as a member of this tech-savy youth culture and a PR guy, I should be great at running my blog by default. I’m still learning. Please excuse the dust while we’re under construction here, it’ll be over before you can say -eh.

What the future holds for this blog

Let’s cut the flattery and get straight to business. Okay, maybe we should leave some of the flattery, who doesn’t like just a little now and then? This is a new adventure for me, as you can likely tell because this is the first post, but the goal is to establish a place to unload some thoughts and create an environment for shedding light on life’s learning experiences.

I am by no means old and wise, but I think through sharing stories and telling about my adventures (as they happen) we can all have a little fun, take a deep breath and laugh a little. I enjoy the mystery of the unknown; be it new foods, hiking trails or a bike ride to a far place, there is something about exploration that inspires me. Maybe it’s the thinking-on-your-feet challenges, not knowing you’ve made a mistake until you look back or the thrill of making things into something great, but I love a good adventure.

I promise to keep my posts short and sweet -brevity is a thing of beauty. I’ll include photos as often as I can and keep the topics refreshing. Between the social commentary, hockey and great-outdoors discussions, I’ll be doing regular posts on something unusual for the average male: wedding planning. As in, my wedding. I proposed a little over three weeks ago and we’ve been making some dents in the planning department,  but everyone wants to know how the process works from my side of the relationship. Initially, I always thought it was, “just tell me when to show up an what to wear,” but oh no, it could never be that simple. Silly me. I’ll be hitting this topic a lot; good, bad or otherwise.

With time we’ll get to introduce the characters this Canadian sees often; let’s have some light-hearted fun and raise a glass to good times, let ’em roll.
